Dr. José Luis Gutiérrez Baños has worked for more than 3 decades as a specialist in Urology at the University Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla, dedication that has led to his appointment as Chief of this service. 

He combines his work with university teaching at the University of Cantabria, where he teaches Urology. His publications include articles on laparoscopic surgery and renal transplantation during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as others related to pyeloplasty or cardiorenal transplantation.
